Graffiti Practices

  • The City will remove graffiti from city-owned property or facilities, usually within five business days.

  • The City will not remove graffiti from non-city owned property or facilities.  The City will make a reasonable effort to notify other public or private entities about graffiti.

    • For reporting graffiti on Puget Sound Energy facilities, concerned community members can call 888-225-9498.  
    • For reporting graffiti on Centurylink facilities, concerned community members can call 800-573-1311.
  • Paint on city roadways that is deemed obscene or a public safety hazard will normally be removed within one business day and only during daylight hours.
     
  • Community members can alert the City of graffiti that requires assessment and/or removal through SeeClickFix or by calling Public Works Operations & Maintenance (O&M) during normal working hours at 206-842-1212.
