The 2021 Building Codes will be adopted by the State March 15, 2024.
Washington State is adopting the Wildland Urban Interface Code with the 2021 code cycle which will affect development projects on the island.
With the recently passed State Bill 6120, the Wildland Urban Interface Code has been substantially scaled back and the impact will be substantially permitting requirements.
